About the Blogger

I have been an avid reader since I was a little kid. I used to use the glitter lava lamp next to my bed to read late into the night, thinking my parents didn't know what I was up to. I am still unable to put down a good book until the love interests get together or I pass out from exhaustion, but now it's on my Kindle app.

As a kid, I loved books like the Magic Tree House series because it allowed me to escape to a new place every night. My first introduction into Romantic Fantasy books was Ella Enchanted, and it still makes me cry every time I read it. By the time I was a teen, I was obsessed with books like Uglies, Twilight, and Divergent, and I've been reading those types of books ever since. If you liked A Court of Thorns and Roses or Fourth Wing, and are looking for books with similar vibes, I hope my blog can help you find them.

In addition to escaping into my latest romantasy read, I also decompress by baking, and watching New Girl for the 100th time. I have a silly, cute Orange cat that likes to go on walks together after I get home from my job as a data analyst. On any given weekend, I can be found playing volleyball, hiking, or watching sports like football or Formula 1.

My Review System

  • Star Ratings

    • ⭐-⭐⭐: I probably did not finish, and I most likely didn't post.

    • ⭐⭐⭐: I liked the book enough to finish it, but probably wouldn't reread. If it's the first in a series, I may not continue it.

    • ⭐⭐⭐⭐: I really enjoyed the book, and may reread it in the future. If it's the first in a series, I will definitely read the next book.

    • ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: Book is perfect. Chef's Kiss. No Notes. Will reread multiple times, and am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series.

  • Spice Ratings:

    • Mild: kissing & tension make up the majority of the romance, fade to black romantic experiences, no explicit descriptions

    • Medium: brief, non-detailed explicit references or descriptions, still follows a fade to black mentality for romantic experiences

    • Hot: A few scenes with explicit detailed descriptions, romantic experiences are not fade to black, plot is still priority

    • Extra Hot: Many explicit scenes with detailed descriptions, plot is of similar or lesser priority than romantic experiences

    • Note: Most YA books will be Mild, most New Adult will be Mild - Hot, Adult books could be any Spice level. In other words, I take spice into account in my Age Category.

  • Typically my reviews will include a short spoiler-free summary, my reaction, then expandable sections where I go into detail about what I enjoyed and didn't enjoy about the book. I keep these expandable because I personally don't enjoy reading detailed descriptions of what people didn't like until after I read a book.

  • Just a reminder, these are my personal opinions. Other people can have differing opinions, and I'm just some rando book reader so what do I know ;P.
