Lucinda Leon

Lucinda is a really compelling character. Despite her heightened status in society, she rejects all the normal behaviors and mannerisms afforded her by her station. She would rather go swimming than try on fancy dresses, her best friend is a smuggler, and she enjoys talking ships with her father. Despite their differences, she still loves and cares for her sisters and mother - she's in general a caring person for those she knows and strangers alike. She tends to be a little trusting and naive, but smart and determined when that lands her in trouble. And above all I love that in the end she chooses herself and rises above the physical and emotional adversity she experiences.
